Ah, I LOVED the Tintin comics on TV when I was younger. Here's for hoping those come back, and not some Hollywood Tintin disaster.
Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made - Psalms 139.14a

And do you know how stupid it is for you to roll your eyes to people who don't read lame European cartoons designed for kids? The eyeroll needs to be reversed here.

Grow up, move beyond 1950s porn and 1960s Euro cartoons. Live in the now.
Asterix is the name of the character. Gaul names, supposedly. Vergincetorix, Obelix, Getafix. (Not sure about that last one, in finnish it was Akvavitix.)

Cartoons designed for kids? Asterix, sure. But Tintin is a very mature in it's stories, while the style is very adventurish.

Though, I did read them when I was a kid.

Trivia: Where did Georges Remy, creator of Tintin, get his pseudonym, Herge?

From his initials, R and G, with correct pronounciation.
I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"

            That's trivia??
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards

Perhaps he should team up with James Cameron and direct the film together: Tintinic

                        Asher is being stupid/annoying/Asher again.

Blake and Mortimer beats all other strips though...
