There is nothing siller than two threads opening at the same time and arguing which one of them should be locked. This topic is so hot that the locked thread might go over 100 posts. When it gets locked the topics they where talking about in that thread get suddenly dumped into the new one. In my years on internet getting lots of new info dumped into thread like that causes chaos. Plus this is an intesne thread. (just look at pekka's post in the first thread where somone said that he needed to take his meds.) All of this might cause a flamewar.
- when a thread is locked, then it is without harm. Discussion just continues in any new thread created and the old thread keeps its postings.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
