          its an historic romance, so to speak. probably written after the fall of Persia - maybe 200 BCE, IIUC.

                That's why it's so funny. Claiming that a prophecy was written before the events it describes makes sense of a sort, but claiming the same for a historical romance is deliciously idiotic.
