When I look at that chart, that's not exactly the first thing that comes to mind. Rather, it's the 1,100% annual growth.

Monthly growth will vary. Besides, I seriously doubt Google's valuation counted on 1,100% annual growth during '07.

I understand where you're coming from. On the other hand, Google has mostly stayed away from this, at least in an objectionable manner -- claiming large chunks of territory without offering something new to the marketplace. And to be fair to Google, even when it claims territory, it may not have much impact in the marketplace, such as happened with Google Video (for which I still have some small affection despite its flaws, by the way). Google Video had such a small market share that it doesn't seem like much competition, after all.Originally posted by Colon™
