The thing is I feel dreaming of flying 200 years ago was not totally pointless because airplanes, zeppelins etc would be invented
But when mankind realizes that we will never travel to the starrs, explore new worlds etc, that we are stuck on earth, or earth + mars at most, there will be some kind of depression.
Besides, the Solar System has a lot of real estate an mankind (or those few individuals willing to travel outside of earth to live) will be pretty busy using it for many millenia to come.If you don't like reality, change it! me
