I've been doing the variable middle initial for years as well. But things are much better here since the advent of the Do Not Call List. It's also a useful concept for web-based stuff, tracking down spam sources who claim you've "opted in" to email from their "partners."

However, I have never wrote them down, I never thought about it like that (as in identifying who gave away my info). THat's actually a very solid advice. I'm almost embarrased not to come up with such scheme myself, as identifying the abuser. Cheers!

Sure. My main work as of now is actually pattern seeking in the research I'm in. I'm modeling this big pile of data and using this fairly new pattern seeking style, that is not only data mining but much, much more.

So, in a way, it's the same thing. Except I'm looking for a different kind of behaviour than consuming one. But that's just a detail that wouldn't matter.

In fact, if you are still in that business particularly, I do have something that the business world yet doesn't have. After my thesis is completed, I might show you how it works if you're interested. It's not my invention, don't worry, it's not like I'm saying it's new and valid because I made it up, I didn't make it up. But I have added enhancing features to it
