Why do you not take clear positions in threads when debates on various issues are going on?

Exactly. Everyone else takes up their positions in the threads that discuss those issues. 'Me threads' are not needed to define those positions. Dinodoc's positions are largely unknown because the majority of those posts seem to be one-line pot-shots.Comment

Arrian: I do take positions. You even agree with me on occasion even though it makes you feel dirty for some reason. I always disagree with the person I'm agueing against.
I think the real question you want to ask is why do I seem to post one line answers to a lot of threads I participate in. Varried reasons really. Sometimes I feel that's all that might be needed to kick off a discussion that I might be interested in. Or it might be all the response that I feel is required at the time. In those cases, if asked I'll usually explain what I mean in further detail. Hmm...
1) Abortion - for or against, and your preferred method of deciding legality (states should decide/federal supreme court/other?)
2) Iraq. I do think you've clearly stated you were against the 2003 invasion. What about current policy? Stay? Go? If stay, what's the mission?
3) Gay marriage. For, against, method of deciding?
4) Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Support one side, the other, or neither? US policy good, bad, meh?
5) Seperation of Church & State - crucial to our democracy or made up by a bunch of atheist libruls?
6) Speaking of that, God, yes/no/maybe so?
