My mind is like that as well...I have complete recall on every car registration of every car owned by myself and my parents - they just won't leave me.

freaks. I don't remember any of my license numbers.

I do remember the last 4 digits of my best friend's telephone number when I was a kid. 4612. Can't remember the first 3 though.

I can't even remember my high school gpa. I think it was 3.38. (not including bonuses).

I hate having to remember 50 different password just for work, with them forcing us to come up with a new password each 2-3 months

On my last workplace each password had to be changed every 3 months, but on day one we got a piece of paper that we could (or should I use the word "should", as we were almost forced to do it) use to write down all of our passwords. I wrote hints instead though
I also use "l33t passwords" from time to time as it makes it easier to remember and uses both numbers and letters
I could use this password: D1st1tt13s (which reads: Distitties) and use the hint "Babe avatar" to remind me about the password

My passwords at work are eight alpha-numerics long. I use the same six alphas with the last two bytes being the numerics "01." When I have to change, they become "02," then "03." This gives me a chance to be able to remember them.

I have different classes of passwords. Classes include:
                  Banking
                  Meaningless Forums
                  Meaningful Forums
                  Games
                  Computer Networks

And deal with the 5 seperately. The Meaningless Forums password is very simple, and some already know it. Ones like the Bank passwords are all different...

I remember them. What's worse, I remember the complex ones . I have trouble remembering number-only passwords or something like a "banana13". The ones I choose for myself are always complex (as in mixed-case letters and numbers, often non-alphanumeric characters, too), and I remember them always. I have a very weird memory that way.

I use my most secure passwords for online banking, email and such important stuff. Somewhat less secure passwords for the less-important stuff. The above are different passwords and variations of them. And I have one simple password that I use for silly registrations or forums that I only need once and don't care about the account in the slightest.

At home I've written down most of my passwords, many on little pieces of note paper, and stuck them in a folder. PITA to go digging for those little buggers, so I started a spreadsheet to keep track of them - password protected, of course. That's the one I really have to remember, because I haven't written that down. But I remember many of them.

At work there are systems for which we have to change the password about every month. I use a few different words plus 0-9, then 00-99 (or 01-98 if it's one of those where I can't repeat).

I have 5 passwords (including three passcodes).

                          My debit card's passcode
                          My front door passcode
A standard passcode I use for everything that is customizable and only accepts numbers.

Also, I have a "secure" password that I use for almost everything serious on the net
And a sucky, insecure password that I use for forums and internet gaming.

This is what I try; my work passwords are all thematically related; my banking passworks have a different theme; my retirement accounts another; my non-essential passwords (Amazon, Salon, etc) another; etc. It works pretty well, except that I have to remember which variation on the theme I've been compelled to use. I could do that as a younger man -- I used to have a great head for this kind of stuff -- but as I'm now old and senile, it's tougher.

I like the password-protected spreadsheet idea though; hadn't thought of that.
