what kind of factions are we talking about here? Apolyton factions or real life factions? political? what?

I can't say I belong to any. Some of you have already figured this out. But I'm a flip flopper. . I try to please everyone, but in the end, end up pleasing no one. I sometimes do things I don't particularly enjoy just to fit in...

Apolyton factions regarding real-life issues.

I think we've established that there aren't really factions that hold together over much more than a single issue. For example there is the self-styled CPA, but I don't know whether they actually agree on much more than disagreeing with Bush. Then there is the alleged Oerdin-bashing group, but whether they agree on anything other than their alleged mission-statement I don't know either.

Mm. I think a better way to look at it is to look at the percentage of posts that are in character rather than the number of posters who are (usually) in character, since it gives a better impression of the feeling of reading Poly. But in any case, I mean, how many regulars can easily picture posting as another user for a day? Not to the point of being unable to tell them from the original, but in general?

Perhaps our responses have become too predictable. But at least LS isn't saying everything is for hippies now. Now if only the banana thing would go away. .

But that is bound to happen when we have been here this long. What you really might be saying is you are tired of us. Can we be and post other than what we really are? As I said before, I can't fake things.

It takes time to grow into roles...most of the people who I'd consider 'in character' didn't start out that way, they found something that other people responded to and then kept doing it until it became self-caricature. I don't think it's a matter of faking, it's just the way that some groups develop.

I'm in the CPA. I'll generally agree with fellow commies, and occasionally support them in discussions.
If I disagree with them on a separate issue, I will refrain from attacking them.
