I don't drink coffee but I am 30 beers in on my passport of "100 beers from around the world". IIRC I've had one or two Danish beers already

If you hadn't used the word 'Tall' I might think you knew what you were talking about - in Starbucks a macchiato is not a real macchiato, but is more of just a latte with the shot poured in later instead of earlier. A real macchiato is a shot of espresso with a dollop of foam on the top.

Lattes and cappuccinos and other drinks actually taste quite different, and some like that sort of taste better. It's a combination of texture and flavor - particularly milk:coffee flavor - for many, coffee has too bitter of a flavor, and so a latte or other high-milk drink is better. Capps are better for some who like the texture of the milk foam, and like the stronger espresso flavor. And mochas are better for those who like chocolate

I drink only espresso/macchiato or Café Latte. Only time I drink regular coffee is at my moms or my sisters house. And I've tasted the danish coffee, which makes it even more perplexing that Winston prefers that slush to a real nice cup of coffee...

i go between latte and capuccino.
sadly, most israeli joints prepare these two the same :/

sometimes when in the mood i go for a macchiato.

i rarely drink espresso. i also rarely drink turkish boil.

Because you're an insecure yob yourself.

As someone who hasn't ruined my palate beyond the point of being able to tell the difference between various specialty coffees, I've never felt the least bit odd in ordering a regular black coffee in a fancy italianate coffee place. But then I've got a modicum of confidence in my own tastes.
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

Actually, I do like my coffee to be pitch-black with no milk.

However, I am able to understand that different coffes have a different taste. I can also understand that many people can possibly enjoy those tastes.
