  • Phobias

Well, some of you guys may know the situation with my gf. (Which is going fine btw ) And because of her situation, we were browsing the internet for solutions and treatments...and then I found this site, which I find hilarious.

Its a list of all the phobias that exist. Some are unbelievable...Browse the list if you want, its really entertaining. Let me just list a couple.

Dikephobia- Fear of justice: OJ Simpson?
Dextrophobia- Fear of objects at the right side of the body
    Dutchphobia- Fear of the Dutch
Francophobia- Fear of France or French culture.
    Genophobia- Fear of sex.
Gnosiophobia- Fear of knowledge Noooo! I will die if I learn something! TEACHER! LEAVE THOSE KIDS ALONE!!

And so many more funny ones! How do people even develope such phobias?!

pognophopiba is the fear of beards
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

Reminds me of someone who was certified being allergic to work.

In fact, thinking about it, I am, too.
Why doing it the easy way if it is possible to do it complicated?

Arachibutyrophobia- Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth.

Chromophobia or Chromatophobia- Fear of colors.

Makes it hard for one to live in a world full of colors

Euphobia- Fear of hearing good news.
No problem to hear news on TV then, they seldom contain good news

Sinistrophobia and Dextrophobia - fear of things on the left/right side of your body.

I can understand this perfectly. A person that had various panic attacks in his life and who experienced them as something very unpleasant fall into a panic when he/she senses at the most minimal sign of a possible panic coming.
That's really when your self starts hunting you.

There should be an Abarophobia -- Fear of lack of gravity.

In the very first nightmare I can remember, I was blasted by a ray shot by an invisible alien (who was standing upside down on the bottom side of the fronds of a palm tree). His ray reversed gravity, and I fell upwards, all the way to the Moon.

You shouldn't worry about that. You'd have died way before getting to the Moon.

I have a very strong suspicion most of these phobias are invented just by adding "phobia" to the latin word for something... Thus dendronecrophobia should be the fear of dead trees...
