Trick to play games that worked in win95/98 which dont work in xp

I remember there was a "trick" for that

The game used to work just fine, but in xp, my monitor collapses (I mean the image become soemthing weird cutted mixed) and finallty the computer tells me windows had a serious problem/mistake.

There was an imbedded program in Excel '97.

Um, do you mean compatibility mode? Right click on the program or shortcut, select properties, click the compatibility tab, and select the compatibility you want.

Thanks a lot Aeson, the problem was that it could only handle 256 colours
