Which is why authors can make their characters speak however they want, without it being wrong. Though no more feeding. I have fed you, like, twenty helpings today.You may prefer it the other way, but nothing wrong with it. It is conversational anyway, ie me talking, so except for spelling errors not intended to convey accents/style, any format is valid.

No, it is conversational because I am typing like I talk, it is the nature of these boards. Just like there are smilies to convey things you would know if you could see someone's face while they are talking.

Life is certainly too short to try and deduce any meaning from the jumble of letters and words that constitute your posts. Spelling, punctuation and grammar might be optional extras to you, but to accuse tech/science types of illiteracy while being illiterate yourself is absurd.Originally posted by Patroklos

Illiterate? I believe I said my criticisms were lack of critical thinking and not being able to express their thoughts clearly. Oh yeah, and they can't (the ones I know) format a letter. I don't remember saying they were banned from spell check. I also said in my experience, and even elaborated on what that experience was (my job). Also I didn't say that technical fields were subordinate to my own, just that they are not automatically superior to mine.
Lets try not to be so dramatic, Cort. Though since we have strayed from the purpose of this thread I see little need to post in it unless you guys can come up with something new.
