    • It’s not only the English and French that are on a heightened level of alert. Italy has increased the alert level from “Shout Loudly and Excitedly” to “Elaborate Military Posturing.” Two more levels remain: “Ineffective Combat Operations” and “Change Sides.”

The Germans also increased their alert state from “Disdainful Arrogance” to “Sing Marching Songs”. They also have two higher levels: “Invade a Neighbour” and “Lose.”

Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday, as is customary, and the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels.

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

it looks as if it was written in polish...

btw, I was reading a book about french diplomacy towards Poland-Lithuania in early XVIII century. It seems these were almost always Lithuanians that were disbanding the parliament for french and russian money... not that they didn't have polish friends (Potockis), and that these Lithuanians were very Lithuanian (Sapiehas, Gosiewski, Wisniowieckis etc)

It is mostly about 1732 and 1733 parliaments.
Lithuanian opposition against August II was brilliant: they were in favour of Slanislas Leszczynski, but in favour of Russia as well
Not to mention Czartoryskis (who were truly of Lithuanian origin), who were planing constitutional reforms, but temporary gain were blocking any reform introduced by the king.
Entire Poland-Lithuania was a laughstock at this point of time
