  • Has the mystery of Mirin Dajo ever been answered/explained?

    movie:
Nederlander Mirin Dajo laat zich vrijwillig prikken. Edit: stond in 1947 al op Tonie.net! -

There was a Dutch man named Mirin Dajo (not his real name) who could be pierced with knifes, swords, sables, etc. without bleeding, without getting hurt, without dying.

Well, read the article, watch the movie.
    It's from 1947 or something.
Please comment, I almost found no information about how this was possible on the internet, while it has appeared to be quite a hype in the 1947's. Not even a wikipedia article (Except a german one)

I remember seeing a documentary where it was explained as, basically, a full-body piercing, ie. the blades where run through pre existing holes that had healed but where kept open.

Obviously, this guy was Jesus-impersonator, getting nails showed into his hands, then going on a drinking spree, to tar his good name.
I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"

You have to read the thread backwards to understand that

how do you keep holes in your body open? It seems the body tries to close holes. Sounds possible, maybe he ran a red hot sword thru the hole to stop the blood flow and that helped prevent the body from sealing the hole. With repeated shows of his talent the body never has time to completely heal.

the same way piercings are kept open perhaps.
