The form is still intact and the texture of the interior clay (is it clay?) is quite nice.

I find the categorization of art into such niche labels tedious at best, but if you are saying that seeing beauty in the alteration of this piece is a view of "modern art", I think you are mistaken. It would be more accurately termed as post-modern. If you are going to use such terms as some kind of slur, I suggest you actually find out what it means first.Rethink Refuse Reduce Reuse

It seems to me that this outrage isn't a result of the dragon being destroyed, but the reverance / respect of an artist (a sort of 'national treasure') being tarnished.
If the name guadi wasn't on this dragon, I am quite sure there would be little sympathy for it found on these forums.Rethink Refuse Reduce Reuse

I have no idea who Gaudi was, but I still think this was a bad thing. I'm not *outraged* but I tend to reserve outrage for more important things.

I'm opposed to vandalism on principle. I even oppose vandalizing the painfully ugly stuff the idiots in city hall insists putting on and around all public buildings here. Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

There are lots of idiots running around,
therefore it was clear that such a thing would happen sooner or later.
Even with such beautiful things like the works of Gaudi (I have seen some of them during my short visit to Barcelona some years ago)Tamsin (Lost Girl): "I am the Harbinger of Death. I arrive on winds of blessed air. Air that you no longer deserve."
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "He has fallen in battle and I must take him to the Einherjar in Valhalla"

Ah, I recognize the first building... I have several pictures of it somewhere (I've been to Barcelona). Definitely cool
