I read long enough to note the author doesn't know Macs come with a multi-button mouse, and have always had support for them.

        Not always...

Yeah, not always. Edit that to "have had support for them for years and years and years and years."

Until 2005ish, the default Mac mouse only had one button.

Honestly, he's still right about the insufferable smugness of the ads.

Can we have another link to that thread where Asher single-handedly Pwned every Mac user on Poly when he got their forum closed down...

                Mac users!
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

That's why we need Mac users: the World would be a far worse place if we didn't have them to laugh it...

I always wondered how that happened. (Didn't care; rarely used the forum.)

                      Link?

We so need that link. Though, IIRC, it was a Civ-Mac forum, supposed to be for people to talk about Civ games on the Mac platform (availability, technical, etc). Though Mac users turned it into a general Mac chat. Asher pointed it out to the mods that it was being used as general Mac chat instead of Civ-Mac stuff and got it closed. It was ****ing brilliant .

But what really made it great is when the Macheads posted to the thread, basically saying how persecuted they were by Asher and how unfair it is that they couldn't violate the rules in this way (ie, it was basically spamming a +1 forum at the time when OT was +0) .

It's only on the second page - that's about how much activity there is in that forum

There was more to it than this. Originally it was only lightly being used as a "Mac OTF" type forum that was politely behaved, but I started actively participating in it with more and more venomous trolls. Then things started getting hostile, and as a bonus personal attacks were made by several Mac users.

So then I made a simple thread in the community forum asking who is moderating that forum...

So it got closed down and the hysteria began. Agathon threatened to LEAVE FOREVER and came back like 6 months later. Some posters made allusions to the end of democracy in the world. The whole thing was so melodramatic that it was classic. Even Ming wasn't having a good time because he knew he was giving me what I wanted...
