          My definition of intelligence is any ability of the brain to carry out a task. Consciously or not. Further reducing it to only apply to specific tasks is just an exercise of ego.

          Yah, even Michael Jordan contorting his body to get off a shot was (in part) a form of intelligence in how he manipulates his muscles to achieve an end. So is the mechanic knowing how to tighten a bolt without stripping it, weld a joint so it will be strong... or the socialite who knows what to say, and how to say it, to get the reaction they want from those around them.
