The plane wouldn't take off either. EMTs would be called in just in case the seizure would last several minutes. I suspect that the person would be removed from the airplane for his/her own safety.

There are tons of reasons not to give a refund. The airline offered them additional flight, I'm not saying they shouldn't do that. Families with uncontrollable kids are an increasingly annoying phenomenon these days.
By the way, I read the other day of a man, a lawyer IIRC
, who was booted off a plane due to gross body odour. Other passengers complained before take-off of the unbearable stench that was emanating from the man's armpits. An attendant asked him to wash and change his shirt, which he refused, and so he was denied transportation and left stranded at the airport.
I wonder if he was able to hail a cab or even order a cup of coffee while figuring out what to do next..Comment
