Not that it was a great job or anything, but still. I had the skillz, I had the experience, I had them laughing at my jokes and whatnot (it was a group interview and the interviewers were nice looking women in their late 20s). I was generally being a nice funny reliable guy. But in the one on one interview I mention that I've been fired twice (but for different reasons). And suddenly she's all "Ok, maybe you shouldn't have said that" and lose all interest in me. So I say, "Come on I've been fired twice in 7 years. Does that make me unreliable all of a sudden?" And I go on to say that I don't do drugs, I'm not an alcoholic, I just have trouble with authority and I can't respect idiots even if they're my boss. But I'm working on it, dammit!
So she very politely tells me that she will contact me if they'll consider hiring me and that I'm welcome to check back with them next week or so (fat chance *****!)
I really need to rewrite my CV and invent another Zoid...
