  • Greeks are crooks

I just found out that Greece recalculated its GDP by adding in illegal activities such as prostitution and money laundering. This recalculation resulted in an upward revision of 25%.

Greeks are very creative when it comes to statistics, so that they can fit in the Euro-criteria.

You really ought to cite your source. (Edit: Another site said prostitution wasn't legal.) Not sure about other activities; don't know how current this source is:

This is in no way provoked by that retired Greek posting about US president?

BTW I miss the glory days of arguing with paiktis about how many TV sets does Greece have exactly
He used to claim more than one thousand.

You kidding? They reinvented the field singlehandedly

Well they count Macedonians as being Greek so it must be a liberal standard.

25% of their GDP comes from underground activities?!?!?!

Why not? There are plenty of countries where official activities makes for only a small minority of the GDP.

I would expect that in places like

Afghanistan or the Philippines, but Greece? Really?
