I think most of us are not expecting it to be accurate, just that.. I hope it would be good. It's one of these things you appreciate, so if someone just butches it like it's nothing, well that leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Alexander was historically accurate, only the movie sucked, the only not historically correcty things were having a half white half black woman play a central asian princess, and angelina jolie had too much of a role, but most likely he did sleep with that friend of his Hephestion or however you write it, and with hot persian eunuchs, so the homosexuality thing was not wrong, altough it annoyed some greeks thatAlexander was shown as someone who enjoyed sleeping with men.

Only Mel Gibson makes historical movies in the right language, altough I remember when he made the passion, latin experts critiziced the latin pronounciation of the actors mel had hired

The people who made it weren't aiming at realism. I wouldn't expect them to worry about history too much...

I hope it will be a cool movie to watch, but (surprise) I generally don't think these movies are in any way meant to be a replacement for history books. Doesn't mean this excuses the limitless implementation of every stupidity of course......

I'm afraid they'll do the rambo thing here. Which is to include a chick in it, just so that no one can bring in the gay aspect of the movie, which is half naked men, striking a pose and greasing each others bodies for.. strategical purposes.
