Are You a Tab Man or a Back Man?

When surfing, for example some Apolyton forum, do you:

- open the first page and subsequently open interesting threads in their own tabs

- click the title of the thread you are interested in, when done reading click the "back" button to get back to the first page

- something else (explain)

It depends.

If I know I am interested in a particular thread, I'll just open the page in the same window. If I am unsure about whether or not I intend to post in that thread, I'll open a new window. I find tabs to be a bit annoying. I won't use them unless I am trying to open like 5 or 6 different windows at once. Then I use tabs just to keep the taskbar empty. Otherwise, tabs are just annoying and aren't worth the trouble.

Always tabs. Although I usually open three different forums and then start opening threads in tabs. I end up with 30 open tabs which get all closed after I read 4-5 threads.

Lots of tabbing and back button pushing here. It isn't uncommon to have four browser windows open each with 2-5 tabs open.

I use tabs, which is one reason why I prefer Opera. I can restart a session with how many ever tabs were open.

I click on the thread and when I'm done, I use the forum jump thingy to get where I want to go.
