    Police reunion possibly?

Though I'm generally not a big fan of these old bands reuniting. And when they do release new material it never sounds as good as the old hits. And I wouldn't be paying $500 just to see them in concert. I have never been a big fan of Sting's solo career. Only his first solo album had any interest to me (I like his song the Russians).

Can't say they are my favourite band, but they are one of those bands you just have to like. I have never known anyone who hated the police. . Though I'm sure some poly poster will say they suck.

I thought you were talking about the people with badges, guns, and who enforce the law.

I was hoping this would be a thread about the music band.

Meanwhile, the birthday party for Styler, a low-key event held at their home not too far from last week’s devastating Malibu fires, attracted the likes of Robert Downey Jr., Courtney Love and Larry Hagman, who owned the house before the rock-royalty couple.

With guests like that, no wonder Andy Summers' and Stewart Copeland's appearances caused a stir!

One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

I like the earlier (punkier) stuff. As they went on Sting became more the control freak, and the band's output came to resemble his own later work - which I found a bit self-indulgent and pampered.

Yeah, I think they definitely had some good moments...

They suck. Because they spend time giving us parking tickets when there are real problems to deal with.

I like them better than Phil Collins or Genesis.

                      But less than The Beatles.

Have you seen "48 Hrs"? Reggie Hammond (Eddie Murphy) is in his cell listening to Roxanne on his walkman and singing along in falsetto when Jack Cates (Nick Nolte) goes to see him.

I found it amusing that there were people who took Every Breath You Take as "their song," when it was really about stalking.
