What are the cultural/religious implications (if any) of decapitation? I know the Koran talks about decapitation in relation to non-Muslims.

Donegeal, execution, and hanging is not actually rocket science. Laws of physics apply. Plus, it is pretty well documented. Also, if a state has DP in their deck of cards, it has some kind of responsibility to do it right.

Because this isn't an amateur night, I think this is too simple to screw it up like that. And I do like to retreat back to the earlier comments about the executors, who couldn't stfu when hanging Saddam. That's just unprofessional. I don't care what's going on, they should do it properly, and running your mouth is part of the amateur night.

And this all is confirmed by just looking at them. They dress worse than criminals. Leather jackets and ski masks.. wtf? And now this, the guy loses his head? Just so unnecessary, all of this, really. It's not rocket science, there's no excuse for these fumbles. Just do it right, that's not a lot to ask.

And there's many reasons why I would say it needs to be professional. First off, the person is going to die by the hands of the state. So, even if the person is horrible, a bit of respect is always in order, when they are about to die. Not respect as in praising them, but just shutting up. Being quiet, to let them have that much when they die.

Also, it is the state. If we can't have an execution worth the above, I mean it just says a lot about that state. Any state, who I think the west or anyone else aligned with us, I think we should hold some standards there. This can be expected of rogue nations, mockery in official execution and all that stuff, but let's show some class here. And I don't need to express more that I am against DP, however, if it is to be done, there's no reason to screw it up, even though the result is awlays the same. Plus, there's people, who might get more motivated now, outraged from these screw ups. There's just no need to make new enemies, or give enemies any moral boost to fight.

When a person is hanged properly, after the body reaches it's breaking point, it will hang motionless for a moment, then rotate 1/4 turn.

The day wasn't a total loss for you now, was it?
