It's the only phone I have*, so, yes, I'd say it's very important to me.

    * Well, apart from my other cellphone.

It wasn't too long ago that I didn't have one and thought those that said they needed one were weak.
Some of my friends were like that. Now they've been assimilated.

      I don't even have a landline anymore.

Important to me, yes, but I want to throw it away sometimes.

I guess humans just can't sit on the grass all day and stare into spacious mountain views for his entire life. (I wonder if anyone will get what I mean).

ive been relying on cell phones since 90s. At my age, owning a phone in the 90s was unusual...

i dont use the extra features for the most part.
                :-p

It's my only phone (not including the work phone), so it's important in that sense, but I can go without it for awhile if need be -- anybody I might call/sms I can just as easily email.

My cell phone doesnt control me, but when I got it taken away for a week for... misbehaving... I hated it and couldn't go anywhere because I had no way of calling for rides. (my parents have a thing in their room that let's them know if the house phone is in use).
I do text all day in school tho.
                    I love my cell phone.

I feel naked when I don't have mine with me.

I run my business on my cellular. I still use a land line for critical communications, like doing interviews for publication, but the cell means I'm always available to my clients.
Plus, I don't have to wear a watch anymore.

I'm in the same boat, and worse, because my phone is my watch and I'd be late to everything without it.

How many cell phones do you all go through. I've had 4 in as many years. First I got a basic one thinking that I really would't need anything beyond the basics but damn they certainly are addicting. I have a razor now but I'm already looking at new ones. I know some people that seem to get them every six months.
