Meh, boring piece of news, I'm sure you read it. But I also read that it was the first visit to Syria by an Iraqi President in like six thousand years or something. Why is this? Weren't Iraq and Syria both Baathist states? Why weren't they on good terms? IIRC, Syria even supported Iran in the Iran-Iraq war.
