  • I can see clearly now

Laser eye surgery yesterday. Like, I can't believe the difference. I literally can't believe my own eyes.

Last night was hella annoying, not being able to do anything but listen and twiddle my thumbs. But now that I can look at things, wow! I can see so far now!

I've heard it gets even better. I'd be happy enough with my vision as it is today, but heck, I'll wait for it.

    Anyone else have this experience?

No, but I'm wondering - you surely used glasses or contacts before - is there a diff to this as well or are you just speaking for looking with your "pure" eyes?

      Pure eyes,

I used glasses before. I cant put them on anymore, its the wrong perscription and it just plain hurts. My pure eyes see the world ALMOST as well as I could see with glasses yesterday. Close enough that I can think its perfect, and supposedly when I'm done with my eye-drop regimen, it will be perfect.

I heard it might revert, though, in time...

I had the surgery last winter. It was painless and now my vision is perfect (it was screwed up as hell before).

I was told repeatedly that reverting is very rare. I have a chance to need reading glasses at around 40, but that's entirely unrelated, and I ran the risk of that with or without the surgery

and no, i went with lasikmd, which seems to be the most respected office in Montreal. My specific doctor, Pierre Demers, had a very impressive resume.

I should get the operation done as well, but I can't afford it as of now, so I'll wait until I can afford it. Hopefully in a year or two, because my sight is getting worse.

Lasering my eyes is not something I would want to do myself, on the cheap.

If I had the money (about 3000$ cdn), I would probably do it. Without my glasses/contacts I'm Mister Magoo. A friend of mine had laser surgery and his vision is now 20/20. No complications whatsoever.
