What? If you're talking to me, I didn't say buy anything.
A pirate wouldn't buy a magazine. What's wrong with you?

Big money has found a way to evade taxation by transferring assets to offshore companies, founded at such sham republics. Why shouldn't those who want to evade intellectual property laws have the same capability?

                    Or perhaps...

"An American freighter last night inadvertently rammed the former Pirates Republic of Sealand. No one was injured, but the state ceased to exist in a curious fireball sparked by the ship's cargo of fertilizer and diesel. "No one told us those two chemicals were dangerous", remarked the captain..."

Same thing is happening on p2p. Moving off-shore.
                      RIAA can suck a nut.

Stealing would imply depriving someone of their property, yes? So, that they don't have it anymore.

Software piracy is different. Is it illegal, of course it is illegal. I might go as far as to agree that it is a form of theft, but not traditional stealing, the word we like to use out of context.

This is not the first attempt to turn "Sealand" (also called Rock All) into an "independent" country. Why buy a fake country when they can rent a real one? Plenty of Carribbean islands like to protect their banking and business clients. Nevis is one excellent example.
