Current Goals: EA has managed to carry out rather powerful, high profile attacks while avoiding any instances of detection or apprehension. In fact, no information is yet available on the group’s actual size or leadership structure. The fact that prior attacks have not been fatal can be attributed more to luck than to inadequate planning since the locations selected and amount of explosives used have been nothing short of ideal.

I've worked at two different US embassies now. Your simple observation is simply wrong.

However the likelyhood of the ambassador being there at 6 am is indeed slim-to-none.

Not all terrorists in the same group have the same wish to kill. The Weather Underground had a group that wanted to blow up a military ball, but blew itself up instead. The rest of the group instead always called ahead and made sure that any target would be empty, then called the police and news to make sure no one was around to get hurt.

See, there's the difference: The ones you're talking about made an effort to check beforehand so they wouldn't physically harm anyone. These guys are just a mixture of blind, dumb luck and incompetence.
