Data recovery software?

Due to an act of gross stupidity I've quick formated and started to install Windows (I pulled the plug when I realized what i'd done and theres about 250 mb been copied across) on a 160 gig USB hard drive that has around 80 gig of films on it. Is there any software (free or otherwise) that can recover some or all of the data on the drive?
