Eregon -- good execution, no depth.
Willow -- okay...(but the stupid brownies should be run down a garbage disposal)

      SCORPION KING Kelly Hu
Conan the Barbarian & Conan the Destroyer -- good
      Narnia
There was also a pretty good Peter Pan awhile back.

Eragon...bad, very bad!!! The worst part was the lack of character development. In the movie, it was a focus on special effects and nothing more. By the end of the movie, I really did not care who lived and died.

And I did read the book and thought it was passable. (I've read worse...) The movie did not take anything from the book that the author even did halfway decently.

Peter Pan, Narnia, NeverEnding Story...good!! And Peter Pan was a very pleasant surprise.

        LotR...great!!!

I'd also toss in House of Flying Daggers and Hero as good. They fall into that genre for me.
