  • Yep and the Earth is spinning

The time difference between London and Sofia is two hours BTW.

    • Ah, so it's about 3 hours of "real time" in each direction. Thanks guys.

      • So, if I'm going by land with a friend from Poland to Turkey and back, can we stay at yours at Stara Zagora?

            • You have to let me know what date(s) before hand so that I can confirm that I can do it.

There are a few dates when I won't be in Stara Zagora in the next two months.

              • I'll probably be in Sofia between June 22nd and June 25th. That's 99% and only something unexpected can change it. I'll bump this thread prior to leaving.

                • It's best to kill people then to allow them to visit Sofia.

                        • What type of food is popular in Bulgaria?

                          • I am not sure what you mean by popular.
If you mean trendy then I don't know.

If you want to know what the typical Bulgarian food is then I guess that the shortest explanation would be Balkan food
IIRC you were in Kosovo before. My guess is that there aren't majour differences between their food and ours.

In Bulgaria the most frequently used meats are chiken, pork, fish, lamb, beef (in that order). We consume a lot of bread and other things made rlom flour (you might have heard about Banitsa)
The more specific things about our food is the Bulgarian yougurt. It is supposedly unique for Bulgaria.
There is one very interesting cold soup made from yougurt and cucumbers that is called Tarator. I think this is the most popular typically Bulgarian dish.
