    The resource hog thing is one bad thing, but getting 5-10 or something questions on whether or not I really want to do this or that, all the time, that is more than what I can accept.

            On my old stationary I use the grey Win95 interface to get the most out of the machine, so the good looking candies of Vista is not a selling point for me.

                                and the real question is, does it affect game performance. Who cares about all the other crap.

                                If it uses that much ram, does it slow down games such as civ4?
