I just noticed something that I thought about.

Except for Americans, that make for a majority here, Poly has seen seasonal increases of dominant talented and interesting posters from different nations.

I don't mean that any country was ever a majority (with the exception of evil evil finns), but they were vocal and popular enough to be the dominant group on the Off Topic.

Examples:

You had the british invasion a long time ago, with people like lazarus and the gimp, red_jon, ph, ian and others which I can't remember.

You had the Israeli invasion with myself, Az, Eli, Taurus, Firelad, and several others.

You had the Finnish invasion, with pekka, stefu and some others (who I can't remember), which died down.

You had the russian invasion with serb, tassadar and several others.

And now, I think we're in the indian golden age with LordShiva and aneeshm being the current dominant figures in the OT.

It's just that Indians SEEM like a lot.

The current Indian golden age is less a function of aneeshm and me than the spate of hilariously sad or pathetically sad news coming out of India over the last few days

The Finnish invasion seems stronger in the summers.
