This is not as surprising as it first sounds.

Many years back, the next door neighbor of a friend of mine went into labor without knowing, up until that time, she was pregnant.

While a big belly is a sure sign of pregnancy, this woman always had a big belly...a really really big belly.

But, but... there are a host of other things beyond just a "big belly." Given what I've been told about a close friend's recent pregnacy it boggles the mind to think of someone carrying a baby to term and not knowing she was pregnant.

I can only hope schools in the US have sex-ed. in classes that 15-year old's attend, but I have a feeling this school (catholic by the looks of it) probably thought it wise not to...

I think sex-ed is one of the few subjects where teachers don't have to worry about their students paying attention

BTW, how come there is so much teen-age pregnancy in the UK (IIRC )? Any UK posters can shed a light on that?
