If that makes the adoptee legal and documented, why not?

Since when is Jimmy Olsen gay? (Well, other than it being rather clear from his depiction in the books of the 60s, but did the character actually come out?)

            Nice

But I agree with the second article on Batman and Superman.

Batman's the son of a billionaire industrialist who believes that he can do whatever he wants regardless of the law, and that the main problems in the world are caused by two-bit gangsters like the Joker. He also has his own "Boy Wonder." You don't get any more Republican than that.

While Superman's an illegal immigrant, who was raised very modestly, and lives in a densely populated metropolis. He's also one of those muckraking librral media types who believes that the main problems in the world are caused by big corporations, like Lex Luther's. A veritable commie.

                Excellent argument

As for the X-Men, they're kind of an enigma. On the one hand, they have the tolerance shtick so at least they're social liberals. But on the other hand, Prof. X gets lots of neat toys, but no visible means of funding his "school." So, they're either being bankrolled by - and therefore are tools of - big business, in which case they're Libertarians, or they have some protection racket going on (is Magneto really their archrival, or just the enforcer?), in which case they're probably Dems. Protection rackets usually don't get you, say, stealth aircraft, so I'll go with Libertarian.

                  X-Men

Each person normally has one pair of sex chromosomes in each cell. Females have two X chromosomes, while males have one X and one Y chromosome.

They're obviously transvestites, and in all probability, radical liberal democrats.

Well, Reagan started out as a Democrat, but wisened up during the 1950's.

Because of exposure to cosmic waves?

If by "cosmic waves" you mean "McCarthyism," yes.

EDIT: WRT Superman, I think the whole planet-exploding thing qualifies him for consideration as a refugee seeking asylum and not just a border-jumper. Even if the technology existed to send him back (faster-than-light travel being a ways away still), he had nowhere to go back to.
