    Fixed.

Hated him on Raymond, but he will be missed.

Trivia: after he became a hot property in the wake of Joe, he turned down a couple of potentially career-making roles, including (iirc) Popeye Doyle in The French Connection.

A fantastic role on The X-Files, for sure . I don't want to think how many times I watched that episode.

Hey, I'm just playing to the audience. 90% will recognize Raymond even if they aren't into it, but hardly anybody knows Joe, and many have never seen Taxi Driver.

He was the best one-off character in X-Files. I can't say it was the best episode because I didn't watch it much.

            Strange people, eh.

I know Taxi Driver for its great cast. The Raymond show, though, I've only heard of when looking Peter Boyle's roles up...

I liked the role he played in Raymond, he portrayed the right wing american male perfectly.

...which, of course, went to his Young Frankenstein costar, Gene Hackman. Another absolute CLASSIC scene in cinema history.

this indeed a very sad piece of news. I thought about posting a thread about him, as well.

                          RIP.

P.S. I loved him in Raymond.
