Drose was arguing that somehow they could be representing "percentiles" and thus something didn't make sense.
Even if somethow / mean that the number are percentiles, then 50/57=50%/57% and you still get the same ratio.

I can't find an interpretation of the symbol / under which the original post means something else.
I think Drose's confusion arose not from a different convention but his misunderstanding of the subject matter.
