  • I find it hard to believe a DVD older Movie fetches over $ 60.00!!!

I am a HUGE Collector of DVD Movies. I am updating my Library to replace older VHS Tapes with a DVD.

I found Fletch Lives for maybe $ 7.00, ordered it and it is on the way.

Now, I fell out of my seat when I tried to find the original FLETCH and it was over $ 60.00.

I have never heard of this and while it is a funny movie, certainly not worth to me $ 65.00 or even $ 85.00 plus shipping

I have been searching the Net but it still amazes me.

Fletch, for those who dont know, was a newspaper reporter played by Chevy Chase as Irwin M. Fletcher..a.k.a. Fletch. Funny but not THAT Funny

Yeah, that is surprising. Usually DVDs that sell for that much have artistic merit.

Supply and demand... wasn't too much of a market for a DVD for Fletch, so they made a few of them and didn't make many more. Now, the people that have it realize the only people looking for it are probably true fans (who really wants a DVD of Fletch anyway ) and will spend a premium for it.

So you're telling us that the MPAA has no say in the mass production of older films into newer media like DVDs? That little mom-and-pop outfits are converting VHS tapes into DVDs and reselling them in bulk for profit and the MPAA has no say in that? Wouldn't the RIAA throw a ****fit about people taking old cassette tapes, mass printing them as CDs and selling them without giving the RIAA its cut?
