      No doubt .

I think Cali would make a good Lucius Malfoy, don't you, Kuci?

Since I'm a pure-blood in real life (with caste parallels strikingly close to the universe of the books), I'll have to be one if I'm assigned a role, too .

Come on, somebody gimme some role!

Pure blood? And proud of it as well? Hell, take your pick, aneeshm - Crabb or Goyle... and the kids, not the father's .

Pure-blood by historic accident, actually. People of one caste simply did not marry people of another, and if you want to go for a traditional arranged marriage, most people even now still stick with people their own caste ("less compatibility hassles" is the usual reason).

I can't be proud of something I didn't achieve/choose, so I have no real feelings about it either way, but I do feel a greater sense of responsibility towards my country because of my background - because I am born into the caste whose role is to act as the intellectual guardians and visionaries of society, I tend to take societal failures as personal failures, and get riled up personally when I see some unjust system.

You'll find that most Indians of today are pure-blooded in their caste. It is the next generation which will probably begin to really mingle blood. Within two more generations, ancestries will be as mixed as those in Europe or America.

I'm obviously not - but why let the Brits have all the fun? Let's turn this into a general thread, where you can assign roles to anybody, because we'll run our of posters pretty fast if we stick only to Brits.

He really seemed like he wanted a spot... and he wants to be English anyway, so what the Hell.

Maybe after this we can have "A Song of Ice and Fire" roles thread .
