If that were a universal criteria we'd be rude to more than half the people in the OT.

And you think we're not rude to more than half of the people in the OT... why?

Haven't you been here for a while?

Like the government of we-don't-like-anything-that-costs-the-state-money-because-it's-*gasp*-communism US would give state subsidies.

                1. Do you really think that the former are the only kinds of movies being made?

                2. Even IF they were, should piracy trump consumer choice? (Well, seeing as youre an artist, you might well think it should )

Ever hear of the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the National Endowment for the Arts. The US isnt nearly as extreme as some folks think.

I know. You are certainly different, but not that different. I think.

of financial benefits, he can still do so in a world of illegal

of love, out of passion, out of devotion. we can have great music by
                      great artists.
Relying on passionate recording engineers, etc.

And Im trying to imagine entire (top level) symphony orchestras filled with passionate artists playing for free.

What if the kind of music I like CANT be maed in somebodys basement? Or is made by people with families to support?
