No I think you are talking about "Ham" which usually comes from a can and is similar to Spam. That is very different from real ham, which is simply a cured pork roast, normally from the thing.

As for why Che hates Canada...who's the most famous Canadian model? Hmm, can't think of a Canadian model?

Well that "ham" in the picture tastes like spam to me. I'm talking about ham.

It's just that Canadian nationalism usually manifests itself through a more subtle smugness that isn't as blatant as american chest beating. (A comparison which is, in itself, a perfect example of canadian nationalism)

Nope, thats just a ham they add a bone into, oh ignorant one.

It's actually the same damn thing.

                          You're actually wrong, Spec.

A lot of ham is manufactured in the manner you describe, but it's also possible to make a ham from a whole piece of pig.

A good clue to see if the ham is made from an actual piece of pork is the presence of texture inside the meat. If there are bands of fat then the ham was made whole. If the interior looks homogenous then it was made from chipped pork.

I hope that's not true...but it probably is. At least I know the prosciutto I eat is real. Italians wouldn't lie, would they?

I actually have had real ham, smoked in a wooded shack in the woods. Actually tasted like something other than artificial smoke flavor.

                              That's your opinion.
You sure this doesn't sound like chest beating? It sure seems like it to me.
