Just as the title implies, let's do a intellectual exercise and try to defend the opposing view on what you think should be done with Iraq. While I don't expect this to be avoid of sarcasm and assholory, let's at least try to be serious.
I'll go first.
The grim fact is that we, the United States, have completed our primary objectives in Iraq. Saddam has been removed, and democracy has been introduced, to such a successful degree the government now ignores our own requests. The Iraqi people have clearly decided to side with their sect instead of their country, and frankly, one American soldier isn't worth 20 Iraqis. The time is to pull out immediately and let the Iraqis stand or fall on their own.
