How about William the Conquerer, Alfred the Great, Christopher Newport, John Cabot, and Francis Drake? How about the physicist Rutherford?
Robert Clive gave you India. Cecil Rhodes defined modern 19th century British imperialism.

Wouldn't Darwin be higher? Practically put religion on its knees. I would put him at number 3. As for Churchill, ok granted, WW2, but that was just WW2, Darwin, Isaac, Adam Smith, they permanantly changed the entire world.

Adam Smith. Here, we hang any traders. Benedict Arnold; any like him or Adam Smith.
There, you put them on a list of Most Influential.

Isaac Newton should be number 1. Imagine a world without physics...

Oliver Cromwell and Henry VIII before Margaret Thatcher.

Edward I and III are missing.

And who invented the railroad? Stevenson?

My God, that seems miles off to me. Adam Smith may be very influential, but moreso than Darwin? Or Henry VIII? I don't think Churchill's our most influential leader either

A couple more that need to be included:
                John Maynard Keynes
                Oliver Cromwell
                Sir Francis Drake
                James Watson & Francis Crick
                (together discovered DNA)

Nope, he was born in Virginia.
                Smile
For though he was master of the world, he was not quite sure what to do next
But he would think of something

Henry VIII was one of the most influential leaders for sure, he changed the religion of the country
Imagine if england had remained catholic, probably ireland would eb a part of the uk since the antagonizing element would not be there, spain and england would continue being allies to oppose france, he changed englands history completely.

                      Removed William the Conquerer.
                      Added 6 more names.
Edited placement of top 5 names.
Removed Thatcher from 10th and replaced with Cromwell.

Brachy, what number would you put Henry at?

So people, the question is, if you were born under British rule, can you be in the Top 10 most influential British or not? (If you were influential )
