Tom Dane
- A Talent Beyond Imagination
This is a guy whose real name is Thomas Eje, and who's been an institution in Danish comedy for 25 years - mostly together with his two teammates in an ensemble called Linie 3. Now he's trying his luck solo in the U.S., performing in Las Vegas this fall. Tom Dane must be easier on the American tongue than Thomas Eje.
It's quite a leap for entertainers to transform their show to an audience abroad, but he seems to definitely be on the right track here, getting much praise in the U.S. press reviews, and I must say that after watching a 10 minute video from his show, it looks brilliant.
He plays a range of different instruments, parodies people like Frank Sinatra, Tina Turner, Victor Borge & Tom Jones, does magic tricks and generally goofs around. I'd say it's very impressive, and best of all, funny.
