  • Thanks to our vets!

Because the 11th falls on a Saturday this year, today is the day the U.S. officially honors its veterans.

So thank you to all those who sacrificed for the good of our country.

While people might argue whether some of the battles the US has fought recently have been worth it or were the right thing to do... The Veterans deserve all the honors they can get.

Thank you to all veterans. I respect and appreciate the sacrifices you have made on behalf of our country.
    Keep on Civin'
RIP rah, Tony Bogey & Baron O

        I have to work today.

        But thanks anyway.

Veterans should get Veteran's Day off.

And so do many other countries.

IIRC is set up for all people who died in wars gone by, at least that's how is percieved as here.

IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
                      In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
                      In Flanders fields.

Fortunatly for the US, its suffered virtualy no civilian deaths from Enemy action durring war in the last century in contrast to most of the countries of Europe, so here the holiday is more Vereran focused.

Companions the creator seeks, and fellow harvesters; for everything about him is ripe for the harvest. - Thus spoke Zarathustra, Fredrick Nietzsche
