i dont get why a 16-17 year old cant decide for themselves though. its a personal choice and why do we make arbitrary laws that curtail smoking?"I hope I get to punch you in the face one day" - MRT144, Imran Siddiqui

but its interesting that many people like the smokers right camp will accept arbitrary limits on smoking ages but not where smoking can be conducted when both tackle personal rights."I hope I get to punch you in the face one day" - MRT144, Imran Siddiqui

Ozzy does have a point though. Age limits are fairly arbitrary.
MRT,
That's because the smokers right camp are influenced by their addiction. It makes them place smoking as a right in their base assumptions about the issue.
They don't care that they aren't allowed to smoke in a cafe, because they understand that people don't like smoke around them when they eat, they don't themselves some of the time too. But a bar, I mean who doesn't like smoking whilst drinking alcohol. The two go hand in hand for smokers.

Well, being a smoker myself, I would think a license would be the best - generally forbid smoking in bars, but let some have a permit to both smoke and drink. With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

I know you didnt say anything about cost but I did
i think the cost of licensicing should reflect actual smoker populations so that there is a percentage of smoking establishments equal to smokers in the general population."I hope I get to punch you in the face one day" - MRT144, Imran Siddiqui
