The point about the banana, Spec, is that it's easier to make jokes about than whatever an atomic wedgie is, and the whole point of the banana option (other than being a synonym for 'none of the above') is to test the wit of the pollster. If they can't come up with anything they should post the option as "I have no banana jokes" and the world will know what kind of a person they are dealing with.

Also, if people get bored with whatever the banana option is called, it will have to come up for re-election and name-changes at regular intervals, thus breaking the continuity and tradition. Indeed, even if it was temporarily known as the Kiwi Fruit option, people would still refer to it as the banana option, because that's what banana means around here. People would have to ask each other "what is the banana called this week?"

Dude, why do you think I came here in the first place...

I played the hell out of Civ-2, CIV3 and Civ-4.

I just dont go in these forums anymore, tired of seeing the same threads over and over again. Why does civ suck, what can we change, why does my tank get killed by a spearman, new civs, should americans be a civ and so-on....And I really dont care for +1s

And what does that have to do with anything. The SIGNIFICANCE of civ-games...dude, its only a game...
