Well you need to get your breathing into control, so as suggested, use a bag to do that. And start doign something else, take your mind off of things. And remember, you can't die from panic attack.In da butt.

The good news is:
(1) you know you're having a panic attack
(2) nothing bad will come from a panic attack; it will pass.
I had one when I was the month before I turned 30. I woke up terribly afraid -- of what, I did not know. I wanted to crawl under the bed and hide.
It took me awhile to figure out that I was terrified of turning 30. I was anxious for the rest of the month.
On my 30th birthday, I woke up feeling no different than the day before. Suddently all anxiety vanished.
